That optimism continues to grow, because we have done a lot with quite positive results. And I know exactly that community support is getting stronger from year to year. Therefore, in handling waste for Indonesia, among the countries in the world, the role of the community is quite prominent. On the other hand, steps and efforts in structuring policies and regulations continue to be developed to meet the needs of the community and the dynamics of waste and environmental issues.”

Minister Siti Nurbaya also thanked and appreciated the proactive and concrete steps that have been taken by award recipients to reduce waste from their business activities as well as concrete steps on waste reduction road maps by producers as stipulated in ministerial regulation 75/2019. This is an important benchmark for producers that environmental regulations do not have to be obstacles for the business sector.
