Two explosions occurred at the Kampung Melayu bus station on Wednesday evening, killing three police officers and two alleged suicide bombers. A dozen people were injured in the blasts. The Islamic State (IS) group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which targeted police officers who were guarding a traditional parade of residents welcoming the fasting month of Ramadhan.

The two suicide bombers, identified by the police as Akhmad Sukri and Ichwan Nurul Salam were members of Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD), a group that supports the IS movement. Previously, the attack is similar to a terrorist attack that occurred near the Arjuna subdistrict office in Bandung, West Java, in February. IS-affiliated Jamaah Anshar Daulah (JAD) is believed to be behind the Bandung attack.

Recently, personnel of National Police counterterrorism squad Densus 88 have arrested on Friday morning three people allegedly linked to the suicide bomb attack that claimed five people and injured 12 others at the Kampung Melayu bus station in East Jakarta. According to Yusri, the three alleged accomplices, identified only as J, W, and A, were arrested in three separate locations in West Java. "They were arrested in Cisarua, Margasari and Dayeuh Kolot," he said. Densus 88 are currently questioning the suspects.

Commenting on Kampung Melayu bomb attacks, State Intelligence Agency (BIN) chairman Budi Gunawan said on Sunday that Indonesia would need to put in place extraordinary measures to clamp down on radicalism and terrorism in light of recent suicide bombings that killed three police officers in East Jakarta.

Aside from forging closer cooperation with the global community, Budi said, the government has strengthened the capacity of the BIN, the police, the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and related government agencies to thwart the spread of the Islamic State (IS) movement in Southeast Asia. In terms of regulations, BIN will push for the immediate passing of Terrorism Law revisions that will strengthen preventive measures.

"There should also be a legal basis for materials collected by intelligence authorities to be used as evidence in the court of law during prosecutions of a terror suspect," Budi said, adding that his proposal was not intended for abuse to target certain groups. "Let us not allow this destructive virus to turn Indonesia into a breeding ground for terrorism as what has been happening in Iraq and Syria."

Meanwhile, The European Union delegation to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, as well as embassies of EU member states have condemned the May 24 terrorist attack in East Jakarta. They expressed their heartfelt condolences to the families and colleagues of the victims, as well as to Indonesian authorities and people.

The EU also paid tribute to Indonesian law enforcement, the vigilance and actions of which had prevented and contained many attacks. The EU also conveyed its respect to National Police officers who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty.

Indonesia's largest Islamic organization, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), has said it will optimize the use of its newly opened internet command center to curb the spread of radicalism during Ramadhan.
"We will use the command center to tackle the spread of [radical] teachings, to educate people via social media and to fill our social media accounts with positive content," NU deputy secretary-general Imam Pituduh told The Jakarta Post on Friday.

Imam said during Ramadhan that it was better for social media users, especially those who had a lot of followers, to spread "goodness" instead of "negative content" that could harm the religious life of Indonesian people and the country's diversity. He said a twin suicide bombing in East Jakarta on May 24 was a "wake up call" for all parties to intensify the monitoring of those two groups.

Wake-Up Call

Being admitted or not, "Wednesday blast" has shown that the alertness on a terror threat must be recovered, because implicitly, a terror attacks is still imperils if the moment of that will occur.

The spirit of Indonesian government to revise the law of counteract terrorism must be supported but a significance question is the output of revise must rigidly rule on a clear job discription between the National Police, Military and an intelligence communities.

The National Police is properly done about law enforcement and eradicating terror threat without the involvement of the Military because its can be endangered and weaken in the context criminal justice system. The Military and intelligence have placed as a supporting system in terrorism eradication.

An imbroglio about how must we do to tackle a terror threat has just given our wrong image and our confusion which can trigger a gap security. A gap security is an ideal momentum for a terror group to lauch the next attacks.

However, Kampung Melayu bomb attacks, Manchester attacks and recent progress on South Philipines are wake-up call for us to strengthen our "counter-attacks system" against terrorism. "Counter-attacks system" against terrorism must be involved all of national stakeholders due to their main task and main job. Because of that, the policy of NU which will optimize the use of its newly opened internet command center to curb the spread of radicalism during Ramadhan must be supported.

Actually, the end of a terror groups struggle is they want to be promoting their ideology which claimed its suitable to implement all over the world especially in the muslim countries, eventhough a terror group ideology didn't match with muslim teachings even contrary.

To build their ideology, a terror group has been launching a several deadly and abraupt attacks which always to be happening if circuumstances has been supporting such as an equality treatment between nations, allegation theologian discrimination, using the baloon theory to show their existance and if an intolerance spirit has been dominated and spreaded in communities.

Factually and essentially, the existance of a terror group threats didn't main related on security concern. To deeply understanding about terrorism and their maneuvers must be studied with a basic and deep questions which must be answered.

There is what a new era of world will be built by terrorist group; Howlong must be taken to realized a new era of world with a new ideology can reach it; How much steps they must go to realize their ideology for the world; How its impact for a long-lasting global landscape; How must we do to tackle a seriously and damned those problem. Answering those serial seriously questions is a main task intelligence communities must be searched. If they fail, the nations will be collapsed.
