NU Ready To Stay At Forefront Of Battle To Keep NKRI Intact

Bogor, W Java, Oct 9 (Antara Megapolitan) - Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) is ready to stay at the forefront of battle to keep the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) intact.

"Keeping the NKRI intact is the obligation of each NU member as NU is not just the vanguard of the NKRI but is also one of the founders of this republic," chief of the Bogor city branch of the Islamic organization Dr Ir Ifan Haryanto, M.Sc said here on Saturday.

While inducting the executive boards of NU's sub-branches and four NU institutions from throughout Bogor city at the Al-Alawiyah Islmaic boarding school here, he said the executive boards of NU's sub-branches  should always make any effort in their struggle to disseminate the teaching of "ahlussunnah wal jamaah" (Adherents to the Sunnah and the community),  maintain tradition and keep the NKRI intact.    

    

To face anti-NKRI movements particularly in Bogor city, NU members should remain calm and refrain from taking actions beyond the legal corridor, he said.

If the anti-NKRI movements have already posed a threat to the NKRI, NU is ready to stay at the forefront of the battle to keep the NKRI intact.
