President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo arrived in Gorontalo for a two-day working visit on Thursday.

The presidential aircraft Indonesia-1 departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta  at 4:45 p.m. local time, and landed at Djalaludin International Airport inGorontalo on Thursday evening.

The President's agenda in Gorontalo on Friday will include witnessing a corn grand harvest, and a visit to Gorontalo traditional market.

Jokowi is also scheduled to deliver a general lecture before university students, and disseminate Smart Indonesia Cards for students in Gorontalo.

From Gorontalo, he will proceed to Kendari in Southeast Sulawesi, also for a working visit.

Among members of the presidential entourage were Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Chief of the Presidential Staff Moeldoko, and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
