Introduction
There is one moment considered as historical event by the Papuan it is July 1, which is conidered as the Independence Day of West Papua (The Province of West Papua and the Province of Papua). One other political case that now constitute as the warm political issue among the Papuan is The Decision of The Government To Solve the Human Right Violation of the past in Papua under the Coordination of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Lieut Gen Luhut B Pandjaitan. This two problem has become the warm political issues in Papua are the independence day of Papua and human rights violation in Papua.
The Assessment.
Last week in Yogyakarta was held a social gathering among Papuan Student Association to discuss the consolidation and reflection of the Proclamation of West Papua with the speaker an Ustadz from East Jawa, attended by Papuan student and Acehnese student.
In his speech, an Ustadz said Islam has come to the world since hundred years ago. Islam has the revolutionary mission, to free the people of the World from stupidity, slavery, exploitation, and all kind of suppression. Muhammad SAW was born many years ago in Arab a country of dry and hard natural condition with the society which was full of all kind suppression, such as the sexual exploitation, slavery and various suppression. But Islam with the mission to free the poor people from the suppression came to teach the society to feel conscious of good thinks, to confront and fight again in-justice society to become the just and prosperous society.
"Accordingly now it is the time for Islam to rise again and the character of Islam come to help the poor people, the mission of Islam is to help the suppressed people to rise and live. Now it is the moonth of Ramadan, Moslem should unite, to fight together against the exploitation of the Natural resources," said these unfamous ustadz.
The activity of the Papuan student that was held internally is considered by the organizer of the social gathering as out of the police control. This opinion is definitely wrong. Whatever and wherever at public facility is used for public activities, there has the authority of the Police to watch and control the situation.
More over the speaker did not talk Islam as the best religion for the people but the speaker also talking about the political situation of a part of this country in a wrong view and criticizing the Government in correctly. Accordingly the Police has to control that kind of public facility to avoid un expected situation to happen.
The meeting was clearly to discuss the political situation of Papua from the wrong perception. An Ustadz from East Java can allegedly making a propaganda and political agitasi against the government.
An ustadz as the speaker in the social gathering definitely was wrong because he talked about Papua with wrong description there is no suppression in Papua and the democracy is running normally according to the law and regulation. However, the condition of Papua definitely could not be compared with the condition of Arab many hundred years ago.
The Government Policy to solve the Human Right Violation in Papua.
On June 22, 2016 at Aston Hotel, Jayapura, a discussion held by Papua Lawyers Club with the case problem "Luhut in the Controversial Problem of Papuan Human Right". The attendants among others are come from National Committee for Human Right, Jakarta, academician, Mathius Murib, Member of Human Right Team, one of Regional House of Representatives Papua member, National Committee for Human Right, Papua, Democratic Aliance, Papua, and a former legal bureau Papua).
The main statement among others are the team on Human Right created by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs is not supported by the National Commission on Human Right. The Statement of President Jokowi is clear, the Government wish to solve the Human Right Violation of the past in order not to become the problem in the future.
Matius Murib said President Jokowi ordered Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Lieut Gen Luhut B Pandjaitan to take action fastly and correctly to the problem of Human Right Violation of Papua. The President attitude should be appreciated. The Government role as declared by President Jokowi will definitely save the Human Right in Indonesia.
The campaign to reject the Government effort to solve the problem of Human Right Violation of the past in Papua in the society are very strong and active. Among the society is also campaigned that the Detection Team for the Solution of the Human Right Violation of Papua in the past should be done by the Pacific Island Countries.
The people of Papua also do not believe the three names of Papuan people who are involved in the Human Right Team created by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs as not competent. The campain "Do not trust Jakarta" is also actively campaigned.
To respond a dynamic situation from these case, the government should try with hard to convince the Team created by the Government of Indonesia. Meanwhile, the KNPB has become the master of the campaign against the Government of Indonesia covering the objectives the campaign not to trust the Government of Indonesia and to campaign for the Referendum and Independence.
There should be credible Government Institution to convince Papuan society that the peaceful situation of Papua in order to develop Papua properly is very important for Papua. Now the budget for the Papuan development is already to be dropped by the Government whenever the Papuan People are ready to work. The main necessity is the peaceful situation of Papua and Papuan People are ready for working and working. Now Papuan People are already the free nation who has the complete political right to develop Papua. As Indonesian Citizens Papuan People had been free since August 17, 1945.
Now, it is the time for the Central Government in Jakarta to talk and to convince the Papuan, that under the present Government it is the time for Papua to seriously work and work. To conclude the situation of Papua concerning the activities of KNPB and ULMWP the Minister of Home Affairs is necessary to talk legally and making the real policy to demolish the activities of KNPB and as forbidden organizations and the time to talk on the freedom of Papua has been over.
